What kind of USB cable does my Sony DSC-S650 use?

What kind of USB cable does my Sony DSC-S650 use?

I've looked through the manual, websites, etc. I lost the original. I need to order from Amazon by Sunday to get it quickly.

It's not a Mini-B or Micro-B… it kind of looks like one for Nikon but I'm not sure.

Autofocus for a Nikon d5000?

I have a nikon camera a D5000, I want to start making videos and stuff, but when I video tape and move around and or hold things to the lens it loses focus and does not refocus itself. The switch on the side is on Automatic focus. Can someone please tell me the exact steps I need to take to get it to focus while taping otherwise I have to stop focus it then start again which is ridiculous. Thanks! :)

Does anyone think the nikon d3100 is way better than the 5100?

I'm really asking people who have had them..not info off the internet I've been googling it for a while..I think when I had the 3100 the focusing was better..like I could focus on eyes or whatever with the red dot. And the 5100 has a larger sensor which really doesn't seem noticable. I'm thinking of trading back to the lesser model until jan when I upgrade to the d800. Any opinions? Thanks!

Opinions on D3200 Nikon Digital Camera?

I am looking at purchasing this camera but before I do I need to make sure it is the right one.
I've heard the file size is larger than usual so it has a hard time uploading pictures to websites- say, Facebook.
If you were to have any one lens with this camera, which one would you choose? I will be doing lots of traveling but I also take a lot of close-ups.
How long do the batteries last before they need to be recharged?
Any suggestions for a better camera?

What current camera is similar to the Nikon D40?

I'm looking to buy my first SLR camera and have heard great things about the Nikon D40 but I just realized that it's not sold anymore. Was it replaced with a new model? Or what is a similar camera that is out now?

Good ideas for a stop motion animation?

I'm out of ideas! Yesterday I got a Nikon D5100 and am in the mood for a stop motion! I have Skulpey (but I'm not very talented when it comes to creating clay objects). I don't have anything else really to MAKE something, so I rather have an idea with regular objects. I make a lot of random ones (no point to them) so I'd like to have one with a story!

Inspiration, please! I'm lacking!

Thanks!

Need help naming my Photography company?

So I have always even interested in photography, and recently purchased a nikon d5100 dslr camera to help me pursue my dreams. I am a cowgirl and enjoy taking pictures of nature & animals. I really wanted to call my company "Cowgirl Photography" but I found that the name has been taken. Can you help me think of an adjective to go in front of "cowgirl"? I saw a company called "Pure Cowgirl Photography" I would like something like tht. Or I could put my first name in front of it "Sierra's Cowgirl Photography". Please give me your ideas and opinions!

Someone help with DSLR lenses?

I have the kit lens for the Nikon D3100 (18-55mm), and a "wide angle" prime lens (35mm f1.8).

Now heres the question. I know primes are better for quality/clarity, but is that it? Can a "standard" zoom do everything the primes in its range can do, or is there something additionally special that the prime is "wide angle?"

I began to wonder if a standard zoom could also be a wide angle lens if used in the lower zoom region.

Do I need to pay tax if i want to delivery my UK bought camera back to UK?

Hi everyone,

I used to bought a Nikon D90 SLR camera in Argos Liverpool, and once when I went back to my country, China, I left it home. Now I want my parents to send it back to me. The question is: since this camera was bought in UK (I don't know if the receipt is in the box but it definitely has a UK MPN), do I need to pay tax when it went through custom clearance? Thanks guys.
Added (1). Thank you Mike for your answer, but if I am going to take it back myself I won't bother asking a question here, the problem is I am currently in England, and the camera needs to be delivered from China to me, I wonder if I need to explain this to UK custom to get a tax exempt.

Is the Nikon 24-120 f4 a perfect versatile filming lens?

It seems like it could be. On an FX camera I think I'd rarely want to go below f4 for filming (too thin DOF) and 24-120 is a very significant range, I think it'd probably be all I'd ever need.It has VR, which is always good.My only concern might be quality (or if there are better or better value alternatives). From what I've heard it's very sharp, but has a bit of distortion, which may or may not bother me depending on how noticeable it is. One thing that worries me is that I've heard one or two reviews mention a little bit of play in the focus ring.Is this found in all copies or did they maybe have faulty ones? Also, any filmographers out there, do you think this would be a major problem for manual focus filming?

External microphone for Nikon D5100?

I want to start making short films and I know that the sound quality with the built in mic, while great for close up interviews, is not great for film. I am looking for a quality microphone that is under $200 for my D5100. I would like cheaper, but I'd rather pay more for quality.

Why doesn't Sony make cameras with Canon and Nikon mounts?

Is there any kind of law that prevents Sony from using other parties mounts? Sony has some amazing camera technology… Too bad they take Sony/Minolta lenses.
