What is short movie mode on my camera?

I just got my new Nikon and there's a mode called 'Short movie show mode'. I was hoping someone could tell me what it was? When I press the shutter button it just takes a normal pic…

50mm or 35mm Lens for D5300?

Hi Everyone,

I have a Nikon D5300 with 18-140mm Kit Lens.

Now I am thinking of taking a Prime Lens, have gone through few sites and got to a conclusion that the Prime Lens should be either a 50mm or 35mm.

But here I need you guys help as to which one I need to choose. I have just started photography and which one will be good addition to my Lens collection.

I have a Nikon D5300 and would like to go for a Telephoto Lens.

What the things i need to consider before taking a Telephoto Lens.

I have seen few Budget lens are these good?

1)Sigma 70-300mm F/4-5.6 DG Macro Telephoto Zoom Lens for Nikon DSLR Camera
2)Nikon AF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6G Telephoto Zoom Lens for Nikon DSLR Camera
3)Tamron AF 70-300mm F/4.0-5.6 Di LD Macro Telephoto Zoom Lens for Nikon DSLR Camera

Of these which one is a better choice?
