Which lens would is better? 50mm of 85mm?

I can't choose between a 50mm or 85mm (both f/1.4) for my Nikon DSLR. I'll mostly be taking portraits, working with somewhat low light, and would like something with good depth of field. I'm pretty new to photography, but I've taken a few classes so I kiiiiind of know what's up.

Sigma 105mm working distance on Nikon D5300?

I want a macro lens and I came across the Sigma 105mm EX DG OS HSM… This lens is designed for a full frame camera, but I am using the Nikon D5300(crop sensor). Can anyone tell me what minimum working distance would I have. By working distance, I mean the distance from the object to the front of the lens.

My pictures won't go to my sd card help?!

Help and advice on camera lenses?

Hi so I am quite new to the world of dslr cameras. I have got to grips with the settings of my nikon d3100 but I want to buy a few lenses for a little treat but there are so many different kinds I am very confused.
I want to take fisheye pictures, do I do this with a macro or a wide angle lens?
What is the difference between a macro and a wide angle lens or are they the same thing?
And finally what's the difference between this lens:

How to attach a cheap mic to Nikon D3200 and set it up?

I have a mic that comes from a set of skull candy headphones and it's suprisingly good quality, I make videos for people and when I interview people I would like to use this mic until I get a new one. When I went to plug it in and tried recording the mic was not picking up any sound. I need to know if it's my mic or there is a way to set it up because I have looked through the movie settings. Thanks.

Is Tamron A17 and Tamron A17NII are same Lenses for Nikon DSLRs?

I want to buy a 70-300 tellifocal lens for my Nikon D40X DSLR and I am confused in these 2 lenses!
Are they Same or Different?
Nikon Original lenses are expensive so suggest me other lenses of same focal length except of Nikon!
