What are my options for buying a new camera for filming?
I am a entry level guy trying to gain ground in the film industry. About a month ago I bought my first camera the Nikon D3100. Its a good camera but I wish I had done more research before buying. The limits on the camera are a bit discouraging in my opinion. Shooting at a mere 30fps, not external mic input, and the noise it makes when filming because of the Auto-Focus, im pretty much preparing myself to get a new camera. But I have to make the most of what i have for right now. I was going to buy a lens for it but now im not so sure i should. So what should i do? Should I get a better DSLR camera? Or should i save up for a Professional grade camcorder? Thanks in advance guys

Nikon N50 (Film camera) help!
Just found this old Nikon camera (not digital), its the N50 and there are a bunch of number on the back of the flash that you can attatch does anyone know what it might be for? (Aperature, exposure, shutter/film speed) if anyone knows please let me know!
Added (1). For the response "the numbers are a table to tell you the right combination of film speed- distance from subject and aperture setting for a reasonably good exposure. Film cameras took a lot more work than the new digitals." can someone tell me a little bit more about the numbers, ex. Is a higher number combo for distant photos (like landscapes) or close ups etc. The more detail the better! Thanks

Nikon D3000 won't hold SD card?
SD card doesn't latch in. The only way the camera recognizes that it's in there is if you manually hold it in, which is difficult when trying to take photographs. This is only a few months old…

What to buy? Sigma 50-150 f/2.8 or Tokina 50-135 f/2.8?
I have not yet decided what to buy. Although these lenses are discontinued, they are still available in my country. I know a little bit about these lenses so I need to have an expert's opinion, like their pros and cons. I have the Nikon D5000. I want to keep a good lens for myself in the long run.

Which is wiser? Fiscally cheap or more durable?
I am an amateaur photographer and just broke my plastic mount lens on a Nikon D200. As im searching to find a new lens, i find two great ones! Technically, theyre the same thing, but one is plastic and sells for 400 and the other is metal and sells for almost 900.Im a student, so price really matters to me, but taking into account that im shopping for a new lens because i just broke my plastic mount changes the matter. Do you think i should buy the metal one or be cheap?
Added (1). Mr. Gimli, To answer your question the metal mount is the AF-S DX Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 ED VRII and the plastic mount is the AF-S DX Nikkor 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 ED VR
So their pretty freaking close.
