Nikon AF 80-400mm VR f/4.5-5.6D?

How good is the Nikon AF 80-400mm VR f/4.5-5.6D lens for concert photography? Would you say it's a good alternative to the common 70-200mm f2.8, especially when having to shoot from afar?

How to zoom using a Nikon D3200 camera?

The question is actually on zoom and focus

My brother said that I don't have to focus and just set the two switches on the lens to auto and for zoom i just let it zoom automatically

I think he's wrong about the zoom-i have to turn the lens right?

also, what mode is best for still photos of people in general? the costco guy said to use aperture

Nikon Camera Lenses - can they be used on different models?

Does any one one know if a Nikon D3200 and a Nikon D90 have the capacity to share the same lenses? I have a D90, but am about to buy the D3200 and am just wondering if I can use my D90 lenses on the D3200. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Are there any newer alternatives to the Nikon D7000?

Upgrading from a D5100 in order to able to film better quality video and take better photos at higher ISO ranges. Was going to go for the D7000 but noticed that it has been out a while and wondered if there were any newer/better alternatives in the same/similar price range. If not I'll still be happy to go for the D7000. Also - would you recommend buying the body only and purchasing a separate 15-300mm lense (for use as an all-rounder until I can afford more lenses) rather than the standard kit one? Thanks

Editing software prices?

I want to buy an editing software, but I don't know which one to get, I see the Adobe premiere pro cs6, ( I want to make music videos) but it looks like a monthly pay, I want something that is a one time pay, and u have it, preferably a disc. Abviously I want the cheapest, but am willing to pay for quality. Where can I also buy this software from. Last question, what is a good lens to record on, I have the Nikon d5100.

Which DSLR to buy as a beginner?

I'm planning to move from P&S to DSLR and have shortlisted Canon 550D & Nikon D5100

But my friend suggested me to go for the Canon as the Nikon DSLR will not support most of the new lenses! So I'm bit confused :|
I'll use the camera for outdoor photography, landscape, family picture mainly, and rarely for video, low light photography. Which one does suite my needs ?
