How to see the exposure meter on the Nikon D5100 in live view?

I can it see it through the view finder and the information screen, but I don't see it in live view. I'm using manual mode.

I want to be able to see it on the LCD screen while focusing my camera in live view:

Can't find exposure meter Nikon D600?

I can't figure out how to make the exposure meter for my Nikon D600 appear in the viewfinder, I've located it on other cameras but this is the only Nikon I have used, sorry if this is a stupid question it's just annoying cause it would help avoid exposure issues with my shots.

What kind of camera should I look at buying?

Hi everyone, I'm getting quite a bit into photography and I'm really wanting to upgrade to a better quality camera.At the moment I just have a small digital camera by Canon, which does the job but I am a bit limited as to what I can do with it because it's a camera more for somebody who just wanted something to snap some shots for memory's sake.So anyway I wanted to know which is better - Nikon or Canon, and generally what kind of a camera would be versatile, good quality, reasonable price and suitable for a beginner.

Suggest Wide Angle Zoom Lens?

I'm looking for a wide angle zoom lens compatible with Nikon D3200, the following I've shortlisted:

• Tamron Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto 28-70mm f/3.5-4.5 Manual Focus
• Tokina 16.5-135mm f/3.5-5.6 DX Zoom Lens
• Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8-4.5 DC OS HSM Standard Zoom Lens

If any other are suggested do let me know, the budget is 13K INR.

Off camera flash photograhy?

Hello.
I have had my Nikon D60 for a while and just got my TT560 Neewer speedlight. I was just wondering if i have to have a trigger or something like that to be able to take off camera flash pictures, or there is some other way, cuz I dont have a trigger?
Added (1). It has 2 slave modes. But how do I set it up?

Nikon D5100 - Have i made the right choice?

HI all after a long research in nikon & canon websites and thanks a lot to dpreview & kenrockwell i have narrowed down to Nikon D5100 ( though D5200 has some advanced feature its out of my budget) along with Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 18-105 mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR Lens & AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G. I am just a beginner and trying to learn the DSLR so am not that much into corner sharpness and all those technical stuffs all i need is a decent zoom with few special effects and image quality so guys do you think i have made the right choice or should i spend some more money to get D5200? Pls help

Essential/Helpful DSLR accesories for a beginner?

I am finally buying my first DSLR, and I am curious as to which accessories are most essential, what they are, what I absolutely need in order to shoot, and what's down the road.

I'm looking for any info--links to blog posts, a product on amazon, anything. Or just your opinion on what I need. I have absolutely nothing except photoshop, my Nikon d3100, and the kit lens 18-55mm it came with.

Best nikon SLR compare to canon 650d?

I had a plan to buy canon slr 650d. But when i start comparing it with nikon had very good models with the same price,

i am actually so confused which one to choose?

But as per my knowledge Nikon is only Camera's product based company, but in recent times their products were not so popular, no idea why? , But in canon case, they have 550d, 60d, 650d, 5d mark2, these became so popular, (though i do not like touch screen )

Finally, i need SLR only for photography, not for videos or somether stuff, I can spend few more bucks to choose best one comparing to canon 650d-

Best nikon lens for close-up baby pictures?

Right now i have a a film camera, the nikon F80 and i wanted to buy a lens to take pictures of my newborn baby, and i can't spend too much either.i was wondering if a 25 or a 35mm would do it?

Do I zoom with the camera or do I have to adjust the lens manually?

I'm a newbie and just bought my first DSLR. I'm confused on how to use my zoom lens. First, let me say I bought the Nikon D5200 with the 18-55 mm kit lens. I have been trying to figure out how to zoom the lens and I'm just not sure if there's a way to do it automatically with the camera or if I have to adjust it manually. I am learning as I go, but this will help a lot if I can figure this one thing out. Any help is greatly appreciated!
