Recommendations for a good & cheap tripod for Nikon D5100?

Going to be headed to the cherry blossoms in DC next month. Looking for a tripod but don't want to spend too much since it's mostly just going to be used for trips and/or portraits at home.
I don't want to spend $100. I'm assuming it should be able to get about 5ft tall at the least.
Any specific recommendations?

Why would windows live photo gallery import monochrome photos from photostream in color?

Uploaded photos via iPad in monochrome as saved in RAW format by Nikon, added them to photostream, photostream itself on all other devices remains the same, but Photo Gallery on Windows alters the photos such that the former-monochrome have data. How is this happening and what can I do to stop it?

Best battery to use in Nikon FG?

I have a Nikon FG, Nikon Fe and Pentax Spotmatic F ( I think they use all same type batteries? Not sure).My question is what is the best type of battery to purchase for them? I've read you can use:
S-76, SR-44, LR-44 or CR-I 3N.

Which would be a better scope for my Stevens .22-250?

I am deciding between a few different scopes and need some help. Using the gun for coyote hunting and target shooting. Also suggestions on which reticle to get would be helpful (realizing this may fluctuate the price). Here are the three scopes I am deciding between: 1.) Leupold Rifleman 4-12X40Mm Matte Wide Duplex ($280); 2.) Nikon ProStaff 4-12 x 40 Black Matte Riflescope (BDC) ($220); or 3.) the Nikon Monarch Riflescope 4-16x42SF Matte Mildot ($415)

I can't get my Nikon D90 to shoot video?

I go into "Live" mode, then you are supposed to hit the "OK" button to shoot video, but it does nothing. Nothing happens. The "REC" icon at the top of the screen is supposed to blink red but on my screen it is white with a diagonal line through it.
The memory card is formatted clean, nothing on it.

Does a camera flash gun require constant current or constant voltage?

A friend of mine is designing a power adapter to use with my Nikon SB900's in my studio. Capacity is 6volts 5 amps.he wants to know if i require Constant Current or Constant Voltage. Please don't advise me on using this kind of setup as I have weighed the pro and cons.thanks

I have a quality tumblr blog but i dont have a camera?

My tumblr is a quality blog and i want to get either a nikon or canon camera for my birthday so i can start taking my own pictures and upload them to my tumblr! but the problem is my birthday is not until july 30 and im afraid if i wait that long to get a camera im gonna lose followers.any suggestions?

Best Settings for Nikon D80 DSLR Camera? - 1

I've bought a Nikon D80 from a friend, I been toying around with it for a while, but can't seem to get good quality pictures, I've been trying to take pictures of family and friends, but can't seem to get good quality pictures, what settings do you recommend I use to get good images from my D80?

D90 for Monocular Microscopes?

I have a nikon d90 and would like to use it for photographing slides in a monocular microscope, because our university does not provide pictures of the slides. But i can't seem to use it like a digital camera by just pointing it at the eyepiece and shooting. Any idea how i may produce pictures, preferably of high quality, by using my slr?
