What r compatible lenses for 18 mm - 200 mm range?

I have decided to buy Nikon D3100… And i want one lens which can serve all purposes ( eg prime, zoom, telephoto, wide angle ) so please tell me 18 mm - 200 mm lens will b gud or not and also compatible lens name…

Why can't I use a Canon speedlight off camera as a slave to a Nikon's optical trigger?

How does the speedlight know that Canon is not sending the trigger flash?

Is there some kind of radio signal from my Canon camera telling my Canon speedlight to go off? Then why can't it work without the flash? Because there is no radio trigger, you have to pay extra for that, and it only works for the 600ex rt.

So how does it know?

And how the heck does it read the TTL information?

side note: Girlfriend uses Nikon (has commander mode). Yongnuo speedlight works as a slave for both our cameras (doesn't have TTL).

What size canvas can I use to print my pictures on?

I recently got a Nikon D3000 and was wondering how big of a canvas picture can I get printed that will still look good? Also is there a certain mode it should be on to produce the best pictures for prints?

Confused about what lens can fit on camera bodies?

I know that Canon lenses fit on Canon, and Nikon on Nikon, but I'm not exactly sure what mounts are and the EF-S etc. I have a T3i Rebel and I've had my 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 for about two years and recently switched the new 50mm 1.8 STM, and I love the switch. I'm considering about purchasing Canon's pancake EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM to kind of get a wider angle, as well as using my 50mm f/1.8 for it's focal length. By the way, will that specific pancake lens work on my Canon T3i? Thank you so much to the answer who thoroughly explains mounts, EF-S, what lenses fit on which bodies! :)

Nikon Speed Booster?

I've heard of the Metabones speed booster, which allows full frame lenses to be used on APC-S bodies. I was wondering if there is one which allows a Nikon FF lens to be used on a Nikon crop body. E.g. 50mm f1.4 ff lens -> 35mm f1/0 equiv. Are there any alternatives to the metabones speedbooster?

i was thinking of buying 35mm prime for indoor photography, buy i am not sure which zoom lens to buy.
i am interested in both wildlife and portraiture. My budget is around 25,000 INR or roughly 500$.

Need camera suggestions… I am stuck between Canon and Nikon brands. Need suggestions?

OK so, I am interested in The Canon Powershot SX 530HS or POwershot SX710

Both of which have good zooming and nice features. But thing is 530 SX only has 16 MP, but 710 has 20.3 MP vs. 530 Zoom has 50X zoom and 710 has only 30X zoom.

Now, I am stuck with More zoom or More mega pixels?

If there any better nikon models similar to that let me know.
