Nikon 35mm vs 50mm lens help?
I have a Nikon D7000. I'm looking to buy a Nikon 35mm f/1.8G ED lens, maybe the 1.4G, however, since my camera is not full frame, it'll end up being more of a 50mm. What lens can I buy that will properly convey the 35mm look on my camera?

Lens recommendations for Canon DSLR?
Hi everyone! I'm looking for a new lens for my Canon 70D that suits what I want.
I need- a lens that is a wider angle, under a 20mm, is great in low light (I'll be using it to take long exposures of the stars in the night sky), also a lens that is great for daytime landscape shots as well.
If anyone can please recommend a good lens that fits those requirements that isn't too pricey, please respond! It would be well appreciated! Thank you!

Want an honest, unbiased lead and advice on what camera and computer to buy?
hey, I ve been want to pick up on photography and videography so I ll be amateur to the fullest. Not sure where to start when it comes to cameras because I hear all types of things and don t want to be mislead and buy into something marketing scheme. Also looking for a computer for in depth editing that can glorify and magnify the photos/videos I want to capture. Also, don t want to spend an arm and a leg (picky picky, I know) but was hoping for some advice. Was look at a Nikon D7000 for camera choice and a MacBook Pro. Thanks for reading!

When sighting in a gun scope, what does left and up mean? Thank you?
I have a Nikon prostaff and I am not sure about sighting it in. I did it last year, but I don t want to waste ammo by being wrong. So, what goes left when you turn the dial left is it the corsshairs? Or the image? Also, is it the same with up and down?
And! If it moves 1/4th inch at 100 yards, that would be 1/2 inch at 50, right? Thank you!

Are Tamron lenses just as good as Nikon lenses?
Are Tamron lenses just as good as Nikon lenses?
Added (1). The 10-24mm lens from Nikon is double the price of tamrons 10-24mm lens. I'm new to photography so I don't know a whole lot about tamron vs Nikon.

Good digital camera for a newbie to digital cameras?
My Mom used to take lovely photo's with her 35mm, she said it had the f-stops and all that. I don't really understand camera talk, sorry ^^; She had to stop for a few years because of her eyes but there on the mend and I want to buy her a camera, as a gift.
She's never used a digital, so I thought something simple would be good, but not to simple that she can't take photo's like she used too. If that makes any sense to you, please give me a brand, style, name of what you think would be best.
Thanks

Nikon d5500 with 18-300mm or mirrorless?
I have never owned a dslr before but i have clicked a lot with my 20 yr old Olympus (manual lens)
Now i want to try the combination Nikon d5500 with 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G lens. I prefer the zoom lens so that i don't have to change lens very often. If i ignore low light conditions, is this a good combo to buy? Any other dslr combo that i can go for in this budget?
Or should i go for a mirrorless cam. I want something at par with my dslr combo if i go for this option. Any suggestions?

Aperture and f-stop for photography?
I have a nikon d5500, I still to this day don't really understand aperture and fstop. I know what they mean but I don't know how to set up a "perfect" picture by using it manually. Can someone please explain to me lol

Where is the light sensor located in DSLR Cameras?
The reason why I ask, is because I am buying a entry level DSLR for beginners. I'm new to ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speed. I'm buying a Nikon D3200 which I already put on lay-a-way. I know that the Nikon D3200 works great for taking pictures in daylight or really well lit rooms. But I am wanting to take night shots as well. I honestly don't know where the light sensor is located in DSLR's, I've been told that the light sensor is in the lens. I wanted to know if I could just buy a better lens for taking photos at night or just in darker situations, or is the sensor in fact inside the camera itself? Because I don't want any Noise/Grain in the picture.
