I would like help in choosing a Camera?!

Hi, Im no expert in cameras (know nothing at all) So I am travelling with the family (tourism) and I wanted a camera just for capturing memories. You know I could have used a mobile camera or something but they make me look bad and I actually look better in reality. So thats what I need a camera that captures photos of someone making them look decent or at least the way they look like in reality not making me uglier and thats it. I dont need it for video so dont talk about it, mostly just photos. I was thinking bout DSLRs but there are a range of prices and things, would the cheapest DSLR do or what. If there is a better or cheaper option please tell me about it. THANKS

Semi-Profesional camera suggestions?

So I am getting a few hundred for my tax return and I'm in college and I want to get a 300-400 maybe 500 dollar camera I could use preferably a nikon or canon or similar that I could use to take great pictures of a few state parks. Obviously if there is something great for less I am gracious for those answers to. Thanks for all the advice

Image quality reduces when transferred from digital camera?

People, i need help. The image quality reduces when i transfer pictures from dslr to laptop or cellphone.
The pictures look great in camera and of good quality but when i transfer them to other device for edit or simply viewing, they look like as if they are taken from a random camera.
I have nikon d5300.

Nikon d5300 low light settings help?!

I have been asked to take pictures inside a church. This place has wood paneling and poor incandecent lighting. What setting should i set my camera to in order to avoid blurred movements of people? I have taken pictures here before and in a lot of my pictures, the peoples movements were blurred. And no I can't use flash, as it will be a funeral viewing it would be disrespectful. I want to remain at a respectful distance and be as invusable as possible.
