Is the Canon 7D a big enough upgrade from the Nikon D90?

I just got my D90 almost 6 months ago, but now this amazing offer for a 7D comes along. I'm not sold on either Nikon or Canon… I have honestly never tried out a Canon, but I kept thinking maybe the next time I ungraded it would be a Canon. Sooooo, what I'm wondering is, is it worth it to upgrade to the 7D, or should I wait a few years, then upgrade to say, the Canon EOS-1D X, or something of the sort?

Transferring DSLR memory card to another?

From my friend's SD card, I transferred our school project's videos and photos to my own SD card, it was successfully copied but when I inserted my memory card back to my Canon DSLR and scanned the files, only the photos can be seen not the videos. Though when I connect the memory card to the computer I can see the videos saved in the SD card.

What can I do? I need to have a copy of the videos, I should be able to watch the videos in my camera.

P.S
If this helps, my friend owns a Nikon and I own a Canon, I transferred the files from her Nikon's memory card to my Canon's.

Camera body or Lens problem?

I have Nikon D5100 with 50mm prime and 18-105 VR lens. Whenever I take a picture, the subject (my girlfriend who has long legs, slim) looks short or sometimes she looks normal.Is it because of the focus point. Are there any reference point where the picture will look lean and slim. Or should I just switch to full frame camera.

Please advice.
