I own a Nikon D3100 and was wondering whether or not this Vivitar 28-85mm f/3.5-4.5 Macro lens will mount onto my camera. I know they are both F mounts but have heard that some older F mount lenses can damage the camera body. I know it will be manual focus only as well. Thanks alot!

The lens in this article is the one that I'm talking about.
I know that it's not going to be very useful as it wont give me autofocus capabilities. All i'm really worried about is whether or not it will damage my camera body.
