Nikon Camera problem! On my D5000?

So it has been getting worse and worse, I have not changed any settings at all, the ISO, Shutter Speed, Aperture, none of that. But most of the pictures i took were way too bright or way too dark, this happened when i accidentally dropped it (it was in a relatively protective bag) the way i try to fix this is to keep on switching from "Live View" and back. Then it would become bright again. I bet it has something to do with the mirror inside. Also, I casually get the error message saying "Press Shutter Release Button Again" or something like that. Is it really the mechanicals inside that moves the mirror faulty?

should i do this fix posted on Instructables? Or is there another way to fix it?: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-fix-Press-Shutter-Release-Button-Again-er/

hope to see an answer soon! And quick!

Nikon lens suggestion please!

Nikon lens suggestion please! - 1
Added (1). I'm looking for a Nikon lens for weddings but I'm tired of not having enough light, and having to switch to my 50mm f/1.4 when it gets darker. Is there a lens that's over 105mm (zoom or prime) that you know of that has a low f stop (under 2.0) thank you.

How to photograph of an interior neon sign?

I own a nikon d5500. And I want to take a shot of my neon sign in my room. I tried in low ISO and high shutter speed but the result was not satisfying since it may reduce the neon glow but remain the neon surroundings (entire room) so dark.
what adjustment do i need to take a shot of my neon sign while the entire room is still in normal light?

How to change picture from black to color?

I was taking photos with my Nikon d7200 camera and my teacher accidentally changed a setting without me knowing. I start taking pics with them and I realized a few minutes after they were just coming out as black. The photos were really important (from a baby shower that we can not recreate) and I was wondering if anyone had ANY ideas how to change the black photo to possibly color? Really desprate
Added (1). Just clarifying, when I mean black I mean the photo is completely black. Like you can see absolutely nothing, it is just a blank black screen. There is a little bit of light at the top like thats it

Can't shoot at 1/4000 sec?

I have a Nikon d5300 with 18-55mm and 70-300mm lens. I wanted to capture water droplets, I tried using a flash but I get a black background on the pic. My camera doesn't have the option to change the flash sync speed. I can only shoot at 1/250 using flash. What do I do so that I can click on 1/4000sec.

Nikon D50 video mode?

Ok. I just purchased a Nikon d50 and have never used one before. I thought that they could not shoot video, but in the main menu I noticed a selection for 'video mode: NTSC or PAL". What is that? Does that mean I can shoot video? If so, how? I would love it if someone could help me out.

Are focus points and cross type focus points that important?

The Nikon D3200 has 11 focus points and 1 cross type focus point. The Nikon D5200 has 39 focus points and 9 cross type focus points. These are the only factors keeping me from buying the significantly cheaper D3200. So are focus points and cross type focus points really that important? What is their purpose and significance really? Thanks in advance.

New Nikon DSLR to replace Nikon D70s? - 1

I have a Nikon D70s body that I use for photo gigs and stuff but, I realized that I am way out of date! I wanted to buy a new Nikon body but, a lot of them come with movie capability that I really don't need. Can anyone suggest a good replacement for this sturdy camera? Or should I even replace it at all and keep it as a back-up? I also have a Nikon SB 800 flash unit and will that work with a new body? Suggestions and answers would be really helpful:D

Nikon d7000 Auto Focus Problems?! - 1

Just got a brand new Nikon d7000 less than a week ago and today all of a sudden out of the blue the AutoFocus does not work. Won't focus and if you try and press the shutter it won't take pics either. Manual focus works fine. What is going on? Any suggestions on what might have happened?!

I'm using the Nikon d7000 with the 18-105mm VR lens. Both the auto focus button on the camera and on the lens are clicked to auto focus but it won't work. If I switch the buttons to manual it works fine. Brand new camera… Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
