Comparing these two Nikon macro lenses?

So… I'm in the market for a nikon macro lens. I am comparing these two but I want to get some insiders advice, or anything from anyone who knows cameras. I own a nikon d3000, i cant afford to upgrade the camera body and get a lens so I'm just doing the lens. I am comparing the Nikon 40mm f/2.8G AF-S DX Micro NIKKOR Lens, and the Nikon 60mm f/2.8G ED AF-S Micro-Nikkor Lens. I want to get as close as possible. My main subjects are insects and small flowers, etc. Thoughts?

Nikon j1 or Gopro Hero 3?

I have $300-$400 to spend on a new camera and am going to Hawaii this summer. I love to film and love the versatility of the gopro, but at the same time I really enjoy taking pictures so that's what has me also considering the Nikon. Which would you get and why?

Nikon D800 using a zoom lens?

For those with experience, how much of the resolution of the D800 is actually usable if you're using a versatile zoom lens with 10x zoom? What I am trying to say is is the full resolution going to be detectable with a less-than crisp clear lens, or do I absolutely have to get a "prime lens" for it? How much quality is actually lost beyond recovery by using a versatile lens?

Nikon d90 with 50mm 1.8f or canon rebel xs 50mm 1.4f?

I want a really nice camera that takes really good quality in-the-moment pictures. Which one is better?

I am shopping to replace my broken Digital camera. What FEATURES should be my focus?

The Fuji-Digital camera I bought from a travelling-merchant, years ago has finally given out. - It no longer powers-up. :-( I used it to take a few Final pic's of my nephew's newly-arrived son a few days ago, so I do have some.jpeg's in it that I really want to take out.
I am shopping to replace this digital camera with one with even more and better features - for a reasonable price.
Beginning my browsing at Wally World, I find a few models of cameras to consider.
How VERSATILE is the standard Aim-and-shoot-type of Digital camera vs.the model that comes with interchangeable lenses (like it's earlier version of the 35mm film camera)?

The Models and prices range from a CANON @$79.00
to a FUJIFILM @$119.00
to a SONY @$119.00
to a NIKON@$149.00

I am not a PROFESSIONAL Photographer by any means. - I want an easy-to-operate unit that will allow me to edit my.jpegs on-the-spot, easily upload to my desktop terminal to post to my FB Wall and attach to misc. E-mails and will allow me to take an occasional live video with sound-recording.

What can be my shopping-options?
Added (1). I live on a VERY-TIGHT BUDGET, so price is very important.

How to take high quality pictures?

Okay so I have a nice nikon camera so it's not a matter of having a good camera or not. I need help with learning to take better pictures. I'm in a photo shop/computer class and I work a lot with pictures so I would like to be able to my own pictures but I just suck at it :/

How do professionals take such good pictures? And also how do I get a good background for pictures? Do I need to take them against white paper or a white wall? I know this sounds stupid but I'd love it if you could give me some tips on how to take good pictures! Thanks!

Canon 28mm 1.4 vs 28mm1.8 w/ 5D iii for walking around / low light indoors?

Besides the obvious f/ stop.

What are the PQ differences in the two lenses… Are the aspherical qualities or weather resistance better? Is the Bokeh crazy better?

I have gone through reviews, and lenshero and all sorts of info but don't have a clear enough answer to justify the $$$ between them.

(Side note)

What about the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM?

AF or AF-S on a Nikon D5000?

Im wanting a good (but relatively cheap) telephoto lens for my Nikon D5000 for wildlife photography. The lens in question is a Nikon 300mm /f4.AF. Whats the difference between AF and AF-S besides being silent? Does it impact the image quality if i use an AF vs an AF-S? The AF is so much cheaper. And if you know of any better and cheapish lenses, please let me know! Thanks :)
