Should I sell my Canon Power shot?

In 2011 I believe I bought a brand new canon power shot for about $500 or something, I can't exactly remember. However, recently I bought a Nikon d7000. I'm trying to decide if I should hold on to the power shot, or if there is no reason to. Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you!
Added (1). Also it isn't all that compact, the canon looks like a slightly smaller/ lighter dslr.

Should I take a good camera overseas? Help!

Okay, I'm in a little bit of a pickle. I'm a senior in high school and our class is going to China for this travel club thing. I have a Nikon d5100, its a dslr camera with its standard lens. I'm just indecisive on whether i should bring it or not.It will allow me to take nice pictures and stuff, but i would have to be carrying it around most of the time and its pretty big.
Would it be better if i just brought a small standard digital camera?
What do you think?

How much do I have to edit my photographs?

Recently, I purchased a Nikon D5100. I've put all of my photographs through post-processing in photoshop. I don't know if I'm doing too much editing (equalizing, emphasizing colors on selective color, playing with hue, etc.). I then look at others' work online and it seems like it hadn't gone through any post-processing whatsoever and they looked exceptional.My Flickr is attached and I could really use the critique as an amateur. Camera Recommendations? - 1

So I'm looking for a camera like those that popular YouTube users use. Clarity, good video playback. Waterproof is optional. I heard that Nikon and Canon ones are good. Also, like those ones that girls sometimes pose with on Instagram or Tumblr to look like a "photographer". I want it for normal use but also to film something with and take pictures of this summer. I'm also going to go to a concert this summer so I would like one that is also good for zooming in.
Any suggestions?
Oh by the way if you can't tell, I'm a teenager, if that makes any difference :)

DSLR Camera for beginner?

Hello, i am a beginner photographer, and i am looking forward to do some filming, video montages etc.So i am looking for a inexpensive, easy to use DSLR camera, i am thinking of buying the Nikon D3200, what do you think of this camera for a beginner filmmaker? Also i was thinking of getting the Canon 650D ( rebel T4i ) but that camera is definitely out of my price range.So, could you help me deciding what camera should i get? Thanks in advance! :)

How to become a photographer?

I have been interested in photography for a few years now and was able to get the Nikon d5100 and may be getting a macro and telephoto lens soon (I'm interested in wildlife and macro photography) and ever since I've gotten my new camera I've taken many pictures and am trying to learn everything about my camera I'm 16 years old and have gotten a lot of compliments on my pictures so far from family and friends I would like some advice on how I can go about becoming a photographer Thanks!

A good camera for a concert?

Im going to a One Direction concert in Aug.and its my first concert ever, plus i absolutely LOVE them <3

How to convince my parents to let me buy my own DSLR?

I don't know if the title is a bit confusing so I'll clarify here. I've had a part time job for about 4 months until I quit recently because my second semester classes were really demanding. I've already purchased an iPad (with my own money) so that i wouldn't have to risk taking the family laptop to school, despite my parent's reluctance. With the leftover money that I managed to save up, I have enough money to buy a DSLR that I have been eyeing for a while now (Sony a57). Unfortunately the upgrade to the Sony a57 (a58) has been announced and it isn't much of an upgrade.As such, the a57 is also on clearance sale which makes the deal sweeter. But the Sony a57 isn't here to stay and I don't want to wait until it is no longer sold in stores.

The problem here is that my parents are very reluctant to allow me to use my own money to buy technology because of some pride-ish thing they have about not being able to afford things that i want (my family isnt extremely well off). I am not inexperienced in photography as I have spent the last two years taking pictures with my uncle's Nikon F3 (film camera btw) and I really think the Sony a57 is the best camera that I can afford (no comments about Canon or Nikon alternatives please, I've exhaustively researched my options). However my parents are never satisfied with my darkroom prints and therefore don't believe that I have enough "capability" to use a DSLR even though I have been using a full manual SLR. I am at my wit's end and I really don't know how to explain to my parents that I should be able to purchase a DSLR at my own expense to improve my photographic background. I would like to know if anyone can provide me some advice or points that are unarguable and will convince my parents to let me purchase a DSLR.
