Is the Minolta Auto 200x a good flash unit for my Minolta XG-1?

I have a Minolta XG-1 film camera. I will be shooting a friend with it soon--just doing some modeling shots. We will be shooting in the shade during the day. I would like to get some more lighting, though. I doubt that there will be anything creative I can do with my Minolta Auto 200x stuck on my unit. I can't use it wirelessly or anything. I have a nikon sb-600. Will that work on my Minolta? What should I do? Just shoot her in the shade and don't worry about lighting?

Wedding photography tips?

I am taking pictures for my brothers wedding this Friday. He didn't give me anytime to prepare. I am not a professional. I do want to be a professional photographer though. I am nerves. Does anyone have any tips. I have a Nikon D3000 camera. I haven't seen the place they are getting married and I still don't know where it is until Friday. Any advice is welcomed.

Is the Nikon d7000 with the 18 105mm lens any good for shooting music videos?

As far as the Nikon vs Cannon debate w/ DSLR cameras under $1000, I've found favor in the Nikon videos that I have seen so far. I plan to shoot some music videos. I'm going to buy Vegas Pro 12 for video editing. Can anybody vouch for the Nikon d7000 with an 18 105mm lens for music videos? And is learning proficiency in Vegas Pro 12 very hard?

Amateur editing software?

Hello there! I have always loved photography, but have only recently gotten my first camera (Nikon d3100) I have so many ideas for photos, but they require editing. I see beautiful edits on flickr and instagram and other sites ( I love lizmonster and irelandluke 's work), and I was hoping that you could recommend a software? Preferably not over $100, I'm on a rather tight budget. Thanks and God bless.

Any programs that support. MOV editing?

Two questions actually. If you can solve my first one that'd be perfectly fine.

Now, my windows movie maker 2.6 won't accept any. MOV videos. I've been making drawing videos to upload onto YouTube using my 3100 Nikon camera. Since it won't accept any. MOVs, I can't edit them, so I can't upload them.

I was just wondering if there were any easy, simple video editing softwares out there that I could put music over my video and speed it up. That's pretty much all I need to do besides cutting out some things.

How to use multiple exposures for a star trail photo?

I would like to take 100 or more 30-second exposures of the stars and then stack them on my computer. I have a remote control for pressing the shutter, but how do I take 100 exposures for 30 seconds each? I don't want to manually do it myself, that would be very tedious. I can use a Nikon D3100 or a D600. Thanks :)

Lens to get with D600?

I am currently thinking about getting a d600 with a tamron 24-70 as a walkaround lens. And later buy a 16-35 and a tele zoom when I can afford it. Some praise it i hear, some say I should buy nikon's 24-70.So, which one? The tamron has vc/vr. The nikon don't, but do I really need it?
Added (1). The Tamron 24-70 is almost as expensive as nikon's 24-70, wouldn't call it cheap.

Deciding on an entry level DSLR?

I'm going to be buying my first DSLR soon and I'm stuck between which to pick. I'm in between the Nikon D3100, Canon XTi, and the Nikon D40. If there are any others you could recommend that'd be great! Also: I want to start experimenting with concert photography, which would be the best to start with?

RAW+F processed photos wont show in Finder via SD card?

I took some photos today with my Nikon D3100, I shot them in RAW+F… So I touched some up in the cameras Retouch Menu, now when I put my SD card in my Mac, the photos that I touched up aren't there… But every other photo is, what do I do to fix this problem? To touch them up, I used some of the filters, rotate, etc., *but I also used NEF RAW Processing.

What lens do you suggest for a Nikon d3100?

I have a Nikon d3100 and I use the 18-55mm lens it came with. I want a lens that focuses more on details, like dew drops and veins in flowers, ( a macro lens?) and a lens that has a strong enough zoom to be able to take clear shots of the moon, and other distant objects. I was looking at the Tamron 70-300mm Di LD Macro Lens w/ Motor 3 Piece Kit for Nikon D60 D40 D3100 on ebay ($189 - is that a good price) but I've read some poor reviews on Tamron lens. What lens do you suggest that fit my specifications? Thank you so much! God bless.
