My previous memory card is faulty and I don't want to waste money and make the same mistake again, so will it be compatible?

Fujifiml x-e1 and nikon non cpu lenses?

So, i am a bit confused and need some help.

I was considering getting an x-e1 over my d300. I dont really want to invest into the x mount lenses as they look quite pricey for me, so id rather stick with my ai-s nikon lenses.

Im wondering if there will be a problem with the distance of the nikon lens on the x-e1 (with a lens adapter), from the sensor?

Also, if the xe1 has a light meter which can read the arpeture ring from non cpu lenses?

And lastly, is there an option on the xe1 to fill in info about non cpu lenses? (Like there is on the d300).

If anybody has any good reasons why the d300 trumps the xe1 please let me know too! :)

Recommended Lens for Nikon D300?

I am planning to get a used Nikon D300 body. I am planning to purchase some lens.

I was suggested by one of my friends to get a prime lens and a zoom lens. However, I'm not too sure which one should I get.

I have did some research and I found that the 35mm and the 50mm prime lens are the more preferable ones. I have some confusion regarding which focal length should I take (1.4 or 1.8) and also the D or G version.

This will be my first time indulging in DSLR. I am planning to learn most of the different kinds of photography such as landscape, portraits, the 'bokeh' effect, long exposure shots, low-light photography, and perhaps timelapse.

Are there any suggested lens for the Nikon D300? I have a budget of roughly USD 300 to 400. As I am aware that lenses can be reused and I hope that I could get some quality ones so that I could use them for another 5 years. (I am planning to change the body after 1 - 2 years when I have learnt most of the photography stuff). Whether it is a used or new lens, it doesn't really matter to me as long as I could use them and learn the required skills.

Thank you.
Added (1). * Also, it seems that lenses with AF-S are more costly compared to the AF only ones. What is it used for and does it really matter in my case, say the D300 with a built in AF motor?

Can i get some fun park tips?

my family and i are going to an amusement park later on and i want to take better pics than i did yesterday

i have two strikes against me from the start…

1. With the crowds they have a tripod is not feasible

2. We cannot stay until nightfall, my niece's baby has to be home much earlier than that

so, that being said, how should i go about getting good shots, action shots for instance ie rides etc?

i use a Nikon D7100, i have an 18 to 105, 85mm micro, and 55 to 200 telephoto lens to work with as as well as a remote shutter release. I have a mini tripod but i just do not think it will work with so many people around, plus a tripod will draw more attention, which i do not want

Taking DSLR to concert at Rod Laver?

I'd like to take my Nikon D7100 with me to see Miley Cyrus at Rod Laver in October. I have tried contacting Rod Laver with no response as to lenses. All that is on their website is 'professional cameras' revolving around being prohibited. Does anyone know if it's just a flat out no to DSLR's, even if they've got small lenses - or if there is a restricted focal length?

Thanks.
