Should I invest in a better camera body or lense?
I have a ~$2000 budget for camera gear and my shots will mostly be for a local newsletter. I want the ability to shoot all kinds of shots from sports (which may need telephoto) to portraits (which would benefit from high aperture lenses).
Assuming I wanted to go Canon, i'm thinking of investing in a mid-range DSLR camera body (like a 70D) and maybe a cheap telephoto lense to go along with the kit lense. Or I could buy a lower-tier body (like a T5i) and go with a better walkaround lense instead, or maybe even a ~50mm prime and a better telephoto.
What are your thoughts?

How to sell a Nikon D3000?
I would like to sell my Nikon D3000 or even trade it. The problem is I dont know to go about it. I don't know how much the camera actual cost for a used camera and I also do not know where to sell it. Should I sell it on eBay, pawn shop, or go to company to trade it in? What would you do and what company is the most reliable for this?

Camera or a Mobile Phone?
I know this is not an appropriate question, but I'm confused whether to buy a bridge camera or a smartphone. They are completely different but I need some help in deciding.
It's either a Nikon P900(83ÃÂOptical Zoom)or a Samsung Galaxy S7 (which will be announced on Feb 21).
I currently have a Galaxy Note 3 and I don't have a camera. Seeing the technology these days,it just confuses my mind. I like plane spotting as well. But the S7 phone keeps me from thinking again and as I told the phone has not been revealed to the public as of now I'm writing this post. Seeing all those teasers of the phone,am not sure if I should go for a camera or the phone.
**Please note** I know it's absolutely different matter to compare but I'm just looking for answers which would guide my way.
Thanks!

Why are my RAW photo files showing as only 18 in Photoshop?
Hi Guys,
This discussion has proved to be really useful as I've had the same problem and now I'm confused what I should do next. My RAW photo files are showing as only 18" in Photoshop. I need them to be printed at approx 40", would you just leave as is and send to print or re-size up to the correct size in Photoshop i.e in inches. Mine is displaying at 240 dpi/ppi but only 18" with RAW from Nikon. So not sure whether to leave it, scale up to correct size and keep resolution the same, or change both the size up and res to 300. Some help on this would be amazing.

Is it necessary to get a telephoto zoom lens for my DSLR?
I have the Nikon D5200 with the 18-55mm kit lens and the Nikkor 50mm 1.4g lens. The latter works great for portraits, street and low light photography while the former, which is a general purpose lens, helps me out in shooting wide shots. I do not have a zoom lens. More often than not, I find myself in situations where I cannot get closer to my subjects especially when I do wildlife or macro photography. Is a telephoto zoom lens (till 200-300mm) helpful or is there another way around to this? I do not wanna spend a fortune on this and my budget is less than $300.
