So i just got into filming and I want to know if this is a good camera for shooting videos and pictures and if not then what is because I can't find any thing for cheap. I don't want a camera that's over 250. Please don't say "oh that won't get you anything"
Thank you

Would you buy a second hand DSLR camera/lens?
Im on a budget of £500 (£350-400 for the camera and £100 for a lens) and want to get as much as I can for my money.
Would you ever/have you ever bought a refurbished camera/second hand camera/Second hand lens?
If so. Where would you buy one from? Here's a list of popular second hand websites. Have any of you used these?
1:E-bay - Through a shop.
2:Amazon - Through amazon or a shop
3:CEX/Cash converters - My least fave option.
Any views would be appreciated.
Added (1). Spookily, you both have mentioned two cameras I am trying to choose between; the D5100 and D3200.
I am moving up from a VERY limited Bridge camera.(L120) which had minimal controls.
When i say "get as much as I can" i mean for e.g If i buy a d3200 for £350 that leaves me £150 for extras like lens, battery etc. If I bought a second hand D3200 for £250. That then gives me £250 for the extras and if theres nothing wrong with buying second hand. Why not?! Hehe:)
Added (2). Side question: I am torn between D5100 and the D3200. Most comparisons say the D3200 is better for beginners and has the potential to take better photos over the D5100. Anybody know if this is true? The D5100 is around an extra £30.

How to modify a Helios 81M lens for a Nikon D5200?
I've just purchased a Helios 81M (2.0f, 53mm) prime lens to use with my Nikon D5200. While it has an F mount and is reported to work with the Nikon D80 without modification, it fits the D5200 mount but can not turn at all to lock into place. Does anyone have any suggestions of adapters I could use or how to modify the lens to fit? Thanks!

Nikon camera says memory contains no images?
I took some wedding pictures on Sunday, and my husband view them right after I took them. So we know the pictures were taken. But yesterday when I connected my camera to the computer. Only 5 pictures out of 60 were there. I deleted those and now I get "memory contains no images".

First tiem DSLR/Does any one here own a Nikon D3200?
I am in the market for my first DSLR. I have £500 budget. Would you say that the Nikon D3200 is a good first time DSLR? It's currently £350 on amazon and you get £50 cash back which leaves £200 for a lens. Would you say this is a good option? Or would i be better buying a £500 DSLR body with a lens kit. Any tips/advice?

Can bright lights during night photography damage camera sensors?
So I've read in places the only way you can really damage your camera's sensor is from overheating the sensor. Such heat would only come from doing a long exposure shot of a really bright object (ie. The sun).
However, I have been trying to look at some different things with night photography and videography.
If when taking a star-trail picture a bright light flashes into the camera lens, the shot will probably be ruined, but will there be any internal damage? How much tolerance does a camera have for these things?
Additionally, is the effect on the camera different when shooting video vs. Extended exposure pictures?
If you get high-beamed at night while driving you go blind for a few seconds, but are soon fine again; is this true in cameras?
If this question can not be answered to be "In general," I have a Nikon D70 for night pictures, and for night video I have the Nikon D7000. 10 years separate these models, has technology to prevent this advanced as TVs have with burn-ins?
Thanks!
