Ive spotted a large reptile near my area… Have you?

the woods… So large and seemingly empty of life but something more sinister lurks in its depths… People have many names for this beast from the east but i like to call him the protector of the forest. Where he treads the forest is bound to follow… So much charisma yet so intimidating. When you see him, do not panic, he smells fear, he feeds off it, when you see him, approach, tell him your reasons for being in the forest, make him believe you are here with good purpose, for one slip of the tongue means a swift death from his fiery breath. YES YOU HEARD CORRECTLY, this beast breaths fire, he has super sonic hearing and anaconda speed, if he hears you **** talking about the forest in your home thousands of miles away he will come at lightning speed and make you regret everything. He is the dragon. He is the bump in the night. This is not a question. This is a warning. Tread lightly, fellow humans, for the extinction event is about to occur. The picture shown below is my expert interpretation of an event on the streets of Nepal, this picture is a true event, not open for debate on it's integrity. The photo was shot with my nikon d3300, every gruesome detail is shown, if you are faint of heart, do not scroll down. Ive spotted a large reptile near my area Have you

Nikon sb-700 TTL does it work with diffuser on?

When i put the the standard box diffuser on my Nikon sb-700 flash, the zoom head position does not follow my len s focal length even when the flash it set on TTL mode. Once the diffuser is taken off the zoom head position syncs with the len s focal length again. Any one knows why this is so? Is the TTL not suppose to work with a diffuser?

Is Buying D7000 now (2015) a bad idea?

I've been using Nikon D3000 for a while now only with the kit lens (18-55mm). I want to buy a 50mm lens because I believe it will help the D3000 stink less when taking indoor shots.

However, when shopping around I came upon a D7000 clearance sale with price slashed to about 1/3. I know it's been discontinued and there's now D7200 but I have no money for that and I have seen images from D7000 in low light and was impressed.

Here are my options:
stick with D3000 and get, AF-S 50mm f1.8G and AF-S 55-200mm f4-5.6 ED (no VR)
OR
Buy D7000 and with (yet another) kit lens and add AF f1.8D and AF 55-300mm f4-5.6G.

I was told that the newer AF-S are sharper and have faster focusing. I'm really confused here. D3000 was fine for me but I struggle with it indoors and >ISO 800 has more noise than a rock concert.

Which of these is a better setup?

What Should I Bring On My Tour Through Europe?

I am leaving for a 2-week (Guided) student tour of Europe exactly two weeks from now. I know the essentials that I need to bring (Toiletries, Hat, Charger, Adapter, Exchanged Currency, etc.) but I want to make this trip fun too. I'll be able to take three bags (I can check one into the plane and I can take two carry-on bags).

What I'm already taking:
---------------------------
Laptop (Web surfing and editing/posting vlogs for/on youtube)
Camera (Nikon D5000) (I have a pocket sized camera, should I bring that too?)
Go-Pro (Action Camera)
Phone (We're temporarily changing my plan for international calls)
Water Bottle
Backpack (Possibly taking a 2nd one as my other carry-on bag)
Headphones
Pillow (Flights and Train rides)
(Possibly other things)

It would be awesome if you included necessities that I might not think of too!

Thanks!

Nikon D600 D610 -- Can choosing a lower resolution improve the noise level?

Nikon D600 D610 -- I realize this is already a very low-noise camera, but I still have this question: Does choosing a lower resolution (before or after shooting) improve the noise level?

- Maximum / native resolution = 6016 x 4016 = 24.3 MP

- Next available lower resolution = 4512 x 3008 = 13.6 MP
- Next available lower resolution = 3936 x 2624 = 10.3 MP
- Next available lower resolution = 3008 x 2008 = 6.0 MP

For example, downsizing from 24 MP to 6 MP could be accomplished by averaging 4 adjacent pixels into a single pixel, (losing resolution but reducing noise).

Is there a setting on the camera that implements such averaging?

If not, can this be done in Light Room or Photoshop or other imaging software?

thanks for your answers

If the lower resolutions were obtained by averaging down the maximum resolution, wouldn't the noise level be decreased?

If the camera does not "average down" to a lower resolution, but merely selects a certain subset of the native resolution pixels

Does Nikon D3100 have with sync connection?

I want to take a photography class but it is required that I bring a DSLR with a hot shoe or sync connection. I have a basic D3100 and I know it doesn't have hot shoe but I'm not sure about possibility for sync connection?

And if not, what Nikon do you recommend that has these features?

I'm a college student and I want to be a sports photographer?

Right now I have a Nikon D7000 and Tamron 70-300mm lens. I tried to get in with the pro's at last Sunday's soccer game of Orlando vs L.A. But they didn't let me in close to the field because I didn't have press credentials. So next I decided to go to local high school's football games, but didn't know how to find out about when the seasons start and other details. If High Schools wouldn't let me in, would college games mind me taking photographs from the sidelines? Tell me what you think I should do because I really need to get my foot in.
