I have been interested in photography for a while and I have played around with my camera (Canon IXUS 870) and my parents camera (Nikon D60 with a 24-85 mm lens (which does not autofocus) and a Sigma DG 150-500mm F5-6.3 APO DG OS HSM lens (which is just amazing)). However as I am going to start my IB film course I really wanted something that would allow me to film in a better quality and more manual options than my Canon. However I would also like to get a camera that could potentially lead me into the world of photography (I know that Nikon D60 is a good camera but the lack of autofocus makes it difficult, because even though I looks like I focused, when I look at the picture on the computer it's not.)
I've been looking at Canon 550D, but I would like to use something that I could use the lenses that my parents have on. Any suggestions (similar price range or cheaper than Canon 550D)?
