I have an Orion XT8 and was wanting to do a little photography. I have a Nikon 5100 DSLR. I know the dobsonians are not meant for this but I have seem many people have success with non deep space objects. I have also heard that the dobsonian telescope may not accommodate the eyepiece projection method.
