I bought a Nikon Nikkor AF 35-135mm F/3.5-4.5 AF Lens some weeks ago, but i haven't tried it until now because i have one just like it, but when i turn on the camera + the newest lens it says "Lock lens aperture ring at minimum aperture (largest F-number)" even tho i have locked it in the largest F-number! and it works perfectly with the other identical lens i have!

is my lens ruined? can it be fixed? can it be overridden?
