Do all film SLRs suffer from gummy light seals? Which ones do not?
I love the manual-control design of the 80's era film SLRs and I currently own a Canon AE-1 Program and a Nikon FE that I recently picked up.
I haven't had the chance to test out my Nikon yet but the Canon has been fantastic, with the exception of the light leaks, a problem that seems to plague many SLRs of this era.
I'm aware that the light seals are relatively easy to replace but I'm a bit worried about damaging the internals and I haven't given it a try yet.
Is my FE likely to have problems with light leaks? Also, since I own more FD lenses, are there any Canon FD bodies that do not suffer from this problem?
