I need to get a good Camera but not too professional?

We are expecting a baby in a few months and the holidays are coming soon. I want to purchase either a Nikon or Canon camera. I don't need one of the professional ones that you need a whole huge manual for but i don't want a crappy one I already have that. I have some experience with Nikons. I just need some advice on this. Thanks :)

Need help about DSLR camera! Anyone with good knowledge? C?

1st of all I am really sorry i asked alot of questions lately about cameras!
Today I went to the store to buy the Nikon D5100.however everyone there kept telling me different opinions! And a guy told me that nikon quality is not so good compared to canon!
He had canon60d, 600D, D7000, D90 and the nikon 5100 (he had also other nikon but too expensive so i didnt bother to ask)
However i dont think i will buy the D7000 Cuz its almost double in price!
I am really confused now! what should I buy: C He told me to go for canon while you guys told me to go for 5100 ;(
and again I hope you accept my apologize for asking a lot of questions(also my bad english)
Added (1). Hmm guys please! I know that nikon and canon are fine brands. My problem is or my question is
what model should i buy! They all almost have the same image quality right?
I tried to compare a lot but~ I find stuff in canon that i cant find in nikon, However D5100 Is still well compared to other cameras with double price~

Nikon 1 J2, Canon G1 X and Sony Nex-7?

So, I'm looking to purchase one of these cameras, although I'm open to recommendations. My budget is around 1, 000 dollars, I personally want a camera for the purposes of modeling or generally outstanding pictures in all settings from scenery, group photos as well as lighting. The reason these cameras appeal to me is because of the size, they're compact but intricate. These cameras also appeared to be the top of their tiers. I'd appreciate if someone could break down to me the significant purposes of each camera, and which would suit me best based on the information I've given. To be more precise, I would like a camera that has a lot of useful settings and effects in order to take unique photos.

Are Nikon 50mm 1.8G & 35mm 1.8G weather sealed?

I am using a D7000 and are finding weather sealed lenses for it. I am going for a summer trip and knowing they can tolerate some rain is comforting (although I will cover them with ziplock bags if it rains heavily).Do you know any weather sealed Nikon lenses?

What actress played the role of Lisa Blair the movie Hackers?

Lisa Blair is the girl in the red dress dancing at Kate'/Acid Burn's party. Lord Nikon remembered here name and address because of his photographic memory.
Added (1). IMDB did not have this character listed on the full cast and crew.
