I have a Nikon D5000 with a 55-200mm lens that I'm taking pictures with for dirt track car races but i keep getting dust spots in my pictures. I use a Nikon Speedlight SB-600 flash so what can i do to keep the dust down? Should I use a lens hood?

Lens choice for nikon d600?
I was wanting to get the d7000 at first, but the d600 is a full frame camera; while the d7000 is cropped sensor.(not saying thats a problem) but i currently have a cropped sensor camera already, and i'd like to upgrade to a full frame. I've also read that full frame lenses are more expensive.
With that being said, the nikon d600 comes with a 24-85mm vr kit lens. However, i have not seen many good reviews on this lens. Not to mention its a rather expensive $600 lens.
I was wondering if someone could recommend a good lens or two that i could use for this camera. (preferably under $500). Camera will be used for portrait photography indoor & outdoor; and also just every day candid picture taking.
Please Help! Thanks!

Where can I find the Nikon D600 at the cheapest price?
If you are a owner of D300/D300s - Would this be a good upgrade? (D300s owner) I am thinking about buying the nikon d600, I read reviews and everything is good. I am looking for a good place to get it.
Also, please share your experience with the D600! I am very excited for this Nikon Digital SLR camera to be in my hands already

I'm looking for a HD camera?
My birthdays coming up and Ive been saving up my money for a while now. I really want a nice HD camera from brands similar to Nikon. Here's some features I'd like in my camera: •HD •be able to go underwater •has many different effects •be able to record. Also I've heard of cameras with an effect that can blur the background and only focus on the main item. And I've heard that there's a camera that can make everything black&white and only show a certain color. Anyone know where I can get a camera that has most of these qualities? It'd be great to leave a link too(: thanks!

Nikon D90 self timer with intervals?
I have a Nikon D90 but I can't figure out the self timer function! Well I can use the self timer but I'm not very happy with the results. When I use the self timer it lets me set the camera delay time and then the number of shots. So when I snap a picture it goes
Timer delay --> shot-shot-shot in rapid burst mode, I don't want this at all!
I want to have intervals between my shots like this
Timer delay---> shot->interval->shot-> interval->shot
My point and shoot Samsung TL205 has both burst shooting and timed interval shooting so what the deal with the D90? </3
Added (1). Why thank you for the fast answer =D
I just have a small project I would like to do with interval timing and wanted to use my D90 over my samsung but even if the D90 doesn't have interval timing I'm pretty happy with it, it will just have to sit this one out.
Added (2). EDIT:
I think i figured out how to solve my problem and still use my D90

Its not self timed but at least I can trigger the shutter from a distance which was the reason I was looking into self timed intervals.
Thanks for all the good answers!~

Nikon D5100 shutter problem, shutter too slow?
Hi, I have the d5100, and I am starting to think that it has a problem with the shutter… or I have a problem! lol
It seams that no matter what lens I use, and no matter now fast of a shutter speed I select, you can clearly hear the shutter opens and closes with long time between the two clicks. I am not sure if this will make any sense, but I am trying my best to describe the issue… I am not a pro, but I do a lot of product photography for my Etsy shop. When I use my camera for something else, that is to take photos of my kids. They move fast.My camera's shutter doesn't seem to be fast enough. Even when there is lots of natural light, it still sounds like the shutter gets stuck for few seconds and then you can hear it close. I have watched many videos on youtube of newborn photographers taking pictures, and because it is a quiet environment, you can clearly heartheire shutters, and it sounds like they are closing fast… :( I got my Nikon last summer, I have the kit lens, a 50mm Nikkor prime lense and a 80-200mm zoom lense. May be I am doind something wrong :(( All my kids photos are one big blur…
Help!!! Any expert photographers out there, please advise??? Thank you!
