Why is the nikon d5100 superior to the d3100?

I'm buying the d5100 for Christmas and was simply wondering what makes the price gap. This is for serious photography (not videos or snapshots) and I can finally afford a DSLR of $600 or less :) I have researched but am still unsure of what exactly it has over the d3100. Also, why is the d7000 more, if you know? All the real improvements I see in that is the better build and slightly better specs, not worth the $400 gap. Thank you!

What are some good affordable cameras? (under $200)?

Preferably not even $200, but that's my cap. I've had two digital cameras in the past, and both of them just did NOT cut it at all for me! They were both under or around $100 though (they might have been on sale though) One of them was a Nikon and the other was a Kodak and I found that they took really orange looking pictures indoors and overexposed pictures outside. The quality of the pictures just was not impressive in any way. I'm in a photography class and I use someone else's camera because I hate mine. I REAAAALLY want a photography camera (ya know, one of those bulky black ones with the huge lenses) Not only do they look 10x cooler, but I feel like they probably take better pictures.

I've NEVER been able to take good pictures and so I want a cool camera to inspire me to really take some awesome pictures in photography class and to start scrapbooking. I've always wanted to be that person always carrying their camera around and taking funky pictures but I just can't find a good camera for a good price!

I'm looking to get a camera similar to the nikon 1. However I was wondering if anybody could offer any information on cameras similar to this but for slightly cheaper. I was hoping to spend no more than €350.any info would be greatly appreciated :)

Speed light for Church photography?

I have a Nikon D80 and need to take photos for the church's Christmas program. What is the best speed light/external flash to use? Thanks!
Added (1). … I am the hired photographer and I usually use natural light so this is different for me, I do have permission to use a flash and this is a one time thing so I'd probably rent a flash/lens combo.

Good professional camaras?

With my birthday and christmas money ive saved up quite a bit of money for a Professional Camera. I would like a nikon one with the strap hopefully not to pricey. However, is there any like this that you can link up to your laptop/computer so i can upload them to that instead of having to print it off which costs a lot! any help is appreciated, thank you! ^-^

I'm going to be treating myself with one this weekend; however, with extensive research I have done, I found that many, many people are talking about a black screen.
They loved & used the camera for months, then all of a sudden, it went black & they had to send it back.It would get fixed but happen again. People are saying that this model is known for that.
I would hate to spend $600 on a camera & for this to happen. Anyone have experience with this? Should I buy it at Target & get an extended warranty protection or go with another camera?

Added (1). I don't think it's a rumor. I got this information from its reviews on multiple websites from people that have actually bought the camera.
