No 35mm lens for canon?

Hello, I just bought a Rebel T2i as my first Dslr, and I have the Kit lens, and the EF 50mm f.1.8 II. But while i was deciding what body to purchase, i was looking at some nikons and saw that it seemed like nikon had more options for lenses. They had the 35mm 1.8g aswell as the 50mm 1.8g and i cant seem to find a 35mm for the canon that doesn't cost like $400. When the nikons is half that. Why is that? A Good DSLR for me compared to the D3200?

So I'm looking for a better camera. Right now, I've been using a Canon ELPH 300HS, which has served me well. However, I'm planning on filming more "professionally", in both youtube videos and in my own little projects. From what I seen on Black Friday, the Nikon D3200 would be a great camera for me. The video quality seems to be superb, and overall, the general consensus is that it's the D3100 on steroids. I believe it also has a mic port and the ability to transfer files wirelessly to your computer.

One thing, however, is missing for my tastes. That is, super slow motion video capture. The D3200 seems to be an absolutely fantastic camera, and among the best available, even when going over it's actual price range. However, being able to shoot faster than my Canon 300HS's 240fps at 240p would be a big thing for me. I would like to into 500-600fps at a respectable resolution (360p?).

So, all things being similar, like great video, good pictures, autofocus. And all that good stuff, including wireless file transfer, that's pretty cool… What camera would give me the super slow motion video capture I need, and still compares well to the D3200?

Just bought a Nikon D5000, need some help/info/advice on lens choice?

Hi!
I recently just got a Nikon D5000 (Kit w/ AF-S DX VR 18-55mm lens). I'm somewhat new to photography, but know some basics. I'm looking into lenses because I want to mainly take portraits/band promotional pics/concert pics.

I was wondering what a good lens would be to do these? I've looked into the
Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM Lens
Nikon 35mm f/1.8G AF-S DX Lens
Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor Lens

As I said, I'm new to this (amateur), but any help/info/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Also, any feedback on the Nikon D60 would be cool, too. I found really cheap online and was thinking also getting that one as well. And as much as I would love to get the D5100, it wasn't in my price range at the moment.

First Photography Jobs Help?

First Photography Jobs Help

I am a student photographer who is recently being asked to do photography jobs. I've been taking pictures forever but actually using what I've learned in school for over a year now. I take pictures of my kids and friends/family for practice and fun.

I've recently been asked to do indoor/outdoor portrait shots of kids and family. I've been asked to do action and promo shots of a band in a studio session and also a low key wedding of about 30 people.

My equipment I have is a Nikon D3100, Nikon D7100, 18-55 kit lens, 18-105 kit lens and a 50mm 1.8g lens. I also have a Bower SFD926N Flash. In studio I have a very basic backdrop with a two umbrella light set up in a very small space.

I am super nervous about these jobs. Does anyone have any advice/tips? Equipment suggestions for each shoot? Toddler/Baby photography tips? Also, should I charge? If so, what should I charge?

Also should I get a 35 mm 1.8g lens? Any suggestions on good wide angle lens?

Would this PocketWizard setup work?

I have been looking around but I can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for.

If I put a PocketWizard Plus III Transceiver on my camera and a PocketWizard FlexTT5 on my Nikon SB-700, will I be able to control the power on the SB-700 from the Plus III?

If not, which variable (Trans., flex, sb-700) needs to change?

Compatible off camera flash for the Nikon D7100?
