Lumix FZ200, Canon SX40/50HS, or something else?

I've been a semi-pro photographer (still images) for some years now, and I've been interested in making videos for some time, but I always get confused when it comes to choosing a video camera.It's just way more complicated than choosing a still image camera. I'm using a Nikon system right now and I know from first hand experience that Nikon SLR's still produce pretty crappy videos, so going the video SLR route is not viable unless I go double system and buy Canons for video. I'll be using the video cameras for both professional and personal use. I do not think I need a broadcasting grade video camera, but if that's the only real option I have, I will save up for it.

I currently have the Canon SX40 HS, and while I am quite satisfied with its still image output, I can't say the same for its video output. The SX40 just hunts too much while recording video, and the videos seem too noisy in low light situations. Does the SX50 or the FZ200 make better videos in low light?

alas, I do not have 10, 000 dollars to spend on a new video camera yet, so basically I'm looking for the best compromise of this camera. Something with pretty good video IQ, no weird focus hunting, higher FPS recording is a plus, but not necessary, and either a flexible range or interchangeable lenses.

Which DSLR Camera to buy in India?

I have to choose from Nikon D5100 and Canon 600D and I am a little confused regarding buying it because some say Nikon is better and some say Canon is better. I need camera just because I have a wish to have a DSLR camera and no professional stuff.So please Help me.

Blurry photos in dslr camera?

Okay I have a nikon d5100

Whenever I go to take a picture of myself (the camera is in my hand btw) it turns up looking like a blurry piece of ***
where am I going wrong?

Normally they come out great.just in self pictures it sucks the *** outta me

ANNNNNNNNNND sometimes I'm taking great pictures okay woohooo and suddenly the camera decides to go completely outta focus and won't take the picture no matter how long I hold the button whats up with that?

Can i use a 3rd party lens wit a nikon teleconverter tc 20 E II (new nodel)?

I own a nikon teleconverter tc 20 e (new model). all nikkor lens compatible with it are way too expensive and i cant afford to buy one as of now.will i successfully be able to use any 3rd party lenses with the nikon teleconverter? pls help

Nikon lens repair possible?

On a rough airline flight several months ago my lens became damaged. I know it is too late to file a claim with the airline. One of the plastic lugs that the camera uses to lock on to the lens is broken off. I didn't notice it right away because I switched lenses shortly after the flight and haven't tried to use that lens again until today. Anyway the lens will not install on the camera.

Anyway does anyone know if that kind of damage to the lens can be fixed? The closest factory authorized repair facility is over 200 miles away so it would have to be shipped.

I'm looking for a camera, but I'm also on a slight budget. I can't really spend over $150.
I am not so familiar with cameras, but I do want one. I am planning to go on a trip soon & I wanted to get a ton of pics. I was planning to go out to the beach & then towards the mountains.wanted to get a ton of pics where i'm headed & possibly with friends. I don't really know the differences in the resolution, megapixle, etc.on the camera's.
everyone tells me to get a Nikon, Canon or Sony. I'm not planning to make any videos with it, just taking pics. also, I wanted to get one that you can upload pictures to on a laptop to edit, if possible.
Added (1). Well. I do want a camera that's portable. if its tiny, then i'll settle with it as long as it's at least decent on the photos.

We are going a walk it will be dark but we will looking at christmas lights is there away of taking pics where I can caputure the lights and kids ??

Would you buy a lens off of ebay?

In my previous question, I said that I need a new lens for my Nikon D50 and pointed out some of the specifics of what I'd like… Someone mentioned the Nikkor 18-200mm VR lens, and I've read reviews and almost everyone is extremely happy with it, and it seems great for what I want to use it for. I don't have the money to buy it new, since it's like $800 or so new. But I see them on ebay going for around $400-500. Since my mom was going to replace the faulty lens anyways, and christmas is coming up, I'm thinking of asking for this as an early christmas present from both my parents. But I'm not going to ask them to spend $800 on my christmas present this year, no matter how amazing the lens is supposed to be! So I'm wondering if you guys have had any experience buying a lens off of ebay? Do you think that might be a good option?
