I recently got a nikon dslr and I was wondering how I should carry it around while traveling. I have a camera bag, but that seems a bit cumbersome to carry all day. Can I just put it into a normal day bag? Or would I damage it that way?

Auto focus not working?
I just got in a Sigma 70-300mm APO DG, the auto focus isn't working? Is there something I'm not doing right? I have a Nikon D3100, isn't the sigma supposed to auto focus on the d3100? I like the focal length but it's kinda hard to stay focused on animals with manual focus, which is the only reason I got it.

Upgrade My Nikon DSLR Camera or Lenses?
I currently own a Nikon 3200 24.2 MP DSLR with the two kit lenses, 18-55 and 55-200.
For the past year or so I've been research upgrading. Perhaps it goes without saying but what I want really to see is sharper images and better performance in low light (i.e. Shooting a wedding inside a church with no flash).
There doesn't seem to be a clear answer out there as to whether it's a better idea to upgrade the camera body or lenses, so I'm interested in your opinion/experience.
A little more info:
I do not want to spend more than $1200 on a camera body at this point. (and yes I will be looking on Ebay) At first I thought that a newer body would be the answer, but then I saw that many of the newer ones in my price range have the same 24 MP as mine does, which I think means the image quality won't be different than what mine can do.
Lenses I have been looking into include the 35 mm, the 50 mm, and the 85 mm.
Please let me know what you recommend, I look forward to suggestions and advice!

Nikon D3100 won't initially focus?
Whenever I try to take a picture, it won't focus. I tried auto and manual focus- neither work. But whenever I look at the photo in the photo library, it's perfectly focused. How do I fix this?
Btw: please help me soon because I'm visiting the Mediterranean for about 2 weeks and I want to be able to take photos easily. Thanks!

What are some great camcorders to pair with a Nikon D3200?
My main skill is videography and I have a Nikon D3200 which has worked well for me as far as taking pictures and nicer quality video. I working toward doing media professionally, and I'm leaning toward getting a better camcorder to use with my SLR.
What I'm looking and hoping for is a camcorder that takes really fine video and pictures, such that when I start a shoot with my Nikon and finish with the camcorder and later video edit and put the two sources together, the camcorder footage is great enough to be almost indistinguishable from the footage shot by the SLR.
I have an older SONY camcorder that I use right now, but I'm hoping for a better camcorder quality wise and wifi would be great also.
Any suggestions on a great camcorder to pair with the Nikon 3200?

Nikkor 85mm 1.4 AF vs AF-s Lens?
I'm looking to buy an 85mm 1.4 lens for portraits, but I will also be using it for indoor sports so I need a fast and accurate auto focus. The AF is about $500 cheaper than the AF-s. I don't have any experience with the standard AF lenses. If anyone has experience with both of these lenses I would appreciate any feedback concerning the auto focus speed and accuracy, as well as an overall image quality comparison.

Thinking about switching to Canon DSLR… Should I?
Hi everyone,
So because of costs, I've been talked out of getting a full-frame (guess, I'll just save up over the next few years).
But, I feel like crossing the road over to Canon… Any thoughts?
I own a Nikon D5200 with a the 35mm f1.8 Nikkor lens and the Tokina 11-16mm DX II AF lens. I love my D5200, but after seeing Canon cameras in action, I kind of want to switch.
I find the tiny viewfinder on my D5200 annoying (not sure the Canon crop-sensor viewfinders are any better) and the thing is pretty loud. I do a lot of indoor photography at church, so it's bothersome when I try to take a picture of someone praying (more of a "clunk" thank a "snap"). I also find something about Canon image processing to be more aesthetically pleasing, whereas I appreciate the technical specs of my Nikon and the consistency in metering.
Should I sell my stuff and get a Canon 60D? If I do, what lenses would I need to buy to get a similar setup to my current one?

Added (1). Er, meant the Canon 70D
Added (2). Full frame would be nice, but I just don't have $3000 to invest in body and lenses.
What I'm planning to do is sell my current gear and start over with Canon.
