NIKON D5100 VIDEO HELP?

So, I have a Nikon d3000 and realized I much prefer recording videos than taking pictures.
I've searched and found the d5100 has the best reviews for video I can handle/afford.

I have no experience with video, but I want to start making them (especially music videos for my friend)

Will I get good video, that's clear and has that beautiful focus on a specific object and makes the background blurry? Setting tips? I don't speak camera, at all.

I'm currently using Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 4 with my Nikon D5100 on my Toshiba laptop, but I've been thinking about buying a desktop for easier use.

Nikon DX 18-55 mm charger.. .?

So I have a nikon DX 18-55mm cam.and I put it to charge yesterday, now I came home from school, took a shower and I got out of the shower a few minutes ago, when I check if its fully charged, it's still charging! Most cameras take 4 hours to charge but I need this camera for school purposes! Its been charging since 4:30 pm yesterday till now 5:12 pm today! Wats going on with this thing! I took out the battery and put it in my camera and theres nothing popping up in the screen like "LOW BATTERY" or something like that! I need help fast pls! D:

Nikon D5000 problems;?

I own a Nikon D5000 and I just ordered my 55 mm f/2.8 Micro AIS lens.It only works in "M" mode but the pictures always come out dark? Is there anyway I could get the pictures to light up some? or is there any way to get it to work in a different mode?

What edits were made on these photos!

I know they were edited in photoshop, and taken on a Nikon D7000, do you know what the edits are/ is it part of the lens? What should i do to my camera to make my pictures look like this! Or what is the edit? It's blur, but I tried that, and it doesn't look like this

Why do primes outside of the 35-50mm range seem to be so expensive and limited in options?

Outside of this range they seem to go up considerably in price. The Nikon 85mm 1.8g is nearly $500. The 24mm 1.4g, which is about the only one I can find wider than 28mm, is over $2, 000. That's more than the 24-70, which is considered an almost perfect lens in every reespect. Granted, you do get that extra aperture, 2 stops I think, but there really should be a cheaper, less fast aperture alternative. People reccomend a videographer use primes for their cheapness and quality. I spent ages looking for a below 18mm prime, and I found nothing current. I think I found an old 20mm 2.8 or something, and it was about $450! On the other hand you can get the Tokina 11-16 f2.8 zoom for about $200 extra.It's much wider and has a zoom range (and apparently astonishing quality). What is with the cost and generally small range of out-of-the-norm range primes?

Buying a Nikon camera in France - warranty?

Hello everyone,
I live in England and I would like to buy a new camera on my year abroad in France, but I don't understand the warranty laws. If I buy it here in France and I have problems with it when I'm back in England, will I have to return to France to get it fixed? I'm going back to England in three weeks time so I'd only be buying it earlier so that I can take pictures of christmas here (it's pretty: D).
Also, is it generally a bad idea to buy in France? Is it more expensive etc?

Am I the only one unhappy with Nikon service?

This is a copy of my 11/16/12 complaint to BBB. BBB posted it 11/20/12.So far there is no response from Nikon. Has anyone ever had similar problem with Nikon?

Problem:
I purchased a Nikkor 16-85mm f3.5-5.6 AF-S DX VR lens from BH Photo, arrival date April 13, 2011. Serial number US26015999. I promptly filled in the Nikon Extended Coverage card and mailed it to Nikon. That extends the Nikon warranty from the standard 1 year to 5 years. I mainly use this lens with my Nikon D90 body. The lens worked mostly beautifully at first.In the last year it seems like it has been having increasing autofocus errors, especially at the shorter focal lengths. Blame the body, my technique, or the lens? It seems like the body rarely has autofocus error with other lenses. Trying the lens on an older D60 body, I think I got fewer errors than with the D90, but still more than I should with this lens. When it is wrong it seems to focus as if my subject were closer than it is. I place my autofocus sensor carefully to make user error unlikely. Looking at user reviews by others, most are happy with this lens. A minority of reviewers report autofocus error problems that seem similar to mine. One reviewer said that Nikon service found the autofocus module to be defective.In September 2012 I sent the lens to Nikon's service facility in El Segundo, California, service order 5978634.It was covered by the extended warranty. Their result was to report it to have been tested and showing no problem.My experiments with the lens is that it still has a problem with autofocus.
