looking for a good all around nikon lens. Needs all the features. Needs be be a good wide angle and zoom lens for snowboarding or skateboarding. Auto focus is a must cuz ill be using this for video too. So far my favorite lens is the 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G kit lens that came with my d3200. It does this the best but i know theres better quality lenses out there im just new to photography cams.
current useless lenses i have:
-kit lens
-AF micro nikkor 60mm 1:2.8D
-AF nikkor 50mm 1:1.8D
-AF nikkor 28-80mm 1:3.3-5.6 G
Added (1). i mainly need the auto focus for video cuz i cant focus quick or good enough while on a skateboard, snowboard, or while moving. Need something that can do everything so i dont have to carry tons of lenses around me up the mountain. So a wide angle plus a good zoom lens would be nice
Added (2). thanks guys. Probably gonna look at a 18-200mm. Still learning bout lenses. This shits confusing as ****. Btw, my 18-55 kit lens does have VR. And i didnt buy all those lenses haha. The macro and 28-80mm i "borrowed" from my dads camera that he doent use and i stupidly bought the 50mm prime lens thinking it was something else
Added (3). yes i agree. I still like and use the 18-55 kit lens the most. Its the most useable for every day situations. Ive yet to see how a prime lens could be your "go-to" lens being that it doesnt zoom…haha…you might miss out on quite a few shots there.
