What should I upgrade to from a Nikon D7200?

I have a Nikon D7200, a 50mm f/1.8G, a 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6 and a sigma 18-35mm f/1.8. I'm planning to get a new camera(and maybe a lens or two if needed) as an upgrade to this one but I'm confused to which I should get. I really like the new mirrorless cameras coming out like the Sony a7III, Nikon Z6 and the Fujifilm XT-3(or if any other choice is better). I need a recommendation on what to get with a budget of $3500. I also don't want to sell off my D7200( though if it is more beneficial you can say so(I'm currently living in the Netherlands, so keep that market in mind if that is the case))
Things I want are:
1. AF better or on par with my D7200(better especially in video)
2. Good lens support
3. Good 4k video
4. Less weight than before( so that I can take it on a vacation or something)
5. Good EVF (I've never used one though)
6. Good battery life or batteries being cheap
7. Sensor stabilization(I don't have anything other than a tripod)
8. I might do some vlogging
9. I'm a casual photographer doing jobs on the side(though that s rare). Mostly for myself and friends and family.
10. I'm not sure about eye-AF though I did hear it's great.
11. I'm very nit picky though on pictures and video though
12. Maybe some accessories
13. I could do some astrophotography and time-lapses
14. I could jump into professional work but am not sure at the time
Anyways, thanks for reading through all that

I don't have a smart phone, what kind of camera should I buy?

I have an old HP digital camera with 7 MP but more often than not the pics are fuzzy. So I want a better still shot camera. But I also have cats, and want to take video of them. I also shop at Walmart frequently and want to have a video camera in case a fight breaks. What is a good camera? I was thinking a point and shoot camera with 1080HD capabilities? There's one at Walmart for $170. I think it is a Nikon Cool Pix. Or maybe I should get a action camera, like a Hero. Basically I just want a lightweight camera to quickly catch video situations, and snap photos. The camera I have right now is kind of annoying because I miss good shots because it takes too long to focus, etc.

I'm upgrading from just using my phone camera, but can't decide on which one to purchase. I'm between the Nikon d3400, Panasonic g7, canon t6i or canon m6?

Photography Question? - 1

Can someone recommend me a Nikon DSLR camera that is for beginners and is wishing a $800-$1300 price range? I have the Sony DSC- HX400V but I've tried t out so many different ways and the only time I get decent photos on it is when I take pictures during midday outside, but other than that, it takes pretty bad pictures. The only good thing about it is it's zoom. Also, please don't tell me that it is a good camera and I'm just not using it right, because I have used other cameras before and the pictures turned out way better on them. Thanks.

Best jack of all trades lens for Nikon D70?

I've just bought an old Nikon D70 but it came without a lens. Can anyone recommend a cheap lens that I can get that will let me take photos of bars of soap and general family photos at the park etc.

I don't need a mega zoom and won't take pictures of tiny objects and just want a cheap all-rounder to get me started.

My father bought me a Nikon D5600 camera with 18-55mm AF-P lens for my birthday! Does anyone have any photo tips for beginners?

Embarrassingly enough, I've never actually used a real camera before so needless to say, I'm pretty intimidated by this camera because there are so many options! But I had mentioned once that I wanted to try photography so my father surprised me with this as a gift and I'd really like to give it a try. Do you have any tips for someone who has literally never picked up a real camera before? Any advice would be helpful! I'd like to take some nice shots around town to show my dad!

Night Time Wedding Tips?

I'm an amateur/intermediate photographer that has been asked to photograph a wedding. I'm needing good advice on the best (and affordable) lenses and soft box lighting equipment for a dimly lit ceremony and reception. Something that will create crisp photos with minimal noise.

The wedding will take place at exactly 5:30 pm (when the sun is setting) at an antebellum home. It will be outdoors and the reception is in the dimly lit side home. They will have several flood light shining on the bride and groom, as well as hanging lanterns, but not much else. No over head lights as the home is not wired for them.

I understand this will be a tough job with a lot of preparation. I'm merely asking for lens / lighting suggestions.

My camera is Nikon D3100

Buy phone gimbal or DSLR gimbal?

I'm looking into buying my first gimbal. I've pretty much decided which one in either category I would be buying. I've only been into photography/videography for about a year. Here are relevant things I have:

Dji Phantom 3 Pro
Nikon D3200
3 lenses (2 kit, 105mm Macro)
Tripod
Galaxy S9
Adobe Suite (all apps)

I'm wondering would it be better to exclusively use my Galaxy S9 and buy a phone gimbal? Or should I buy a DSLR gimbal so I can use the bigger camera? With the DSLR gimbal, I should be able to attach my Galaxy S9 with some adapters. Is that a better idea?

Why are the photos on my Nikon D70 so noisy?

As I've become a little better photographer and I've gotten to know some of the photographic terms, I've noticed that the pictures I take on my Nikon D70 are very unsharp and extremely noisy. From first glance, they look fine and very sharp, but upon zooming in, you can tell there's a lot of unwanted noise. (Examples on my Flickr @ flickr.com/carrickwebb.) Is there any way I can improve upon this and take better photos with this camera, or is this the quality I'm going to be getting with it no matter what?

Telephoto lens buying guidance needed for Nikon D500?

For a D500 camera from Nikon, Which would be the best lens between these two:

1. Tamron AFA022N700 SP 150-600 mm Di VC USD G2 f/5.6-40.0 Telephoto-Zoom Lens.

2. Nikon's 200-500mm f/5.6

I'm an amateur wildlife/bird photographer, I shall not purchase new lens and replace old ones every two years. The fixed aperture of Nikon is surely an advantage, but the larger range coverage of Tamron is alluring me. I know everything has certain limitation, but I have to choose either of these two. Losing photo quality when editing?

Hello,

Please can someone help me, I have recently taken a few photos at a wedding with my Nikon D7200 DSLR camera.

When I have come to edit the photos the quality on them in the editing software look shocking!

Please can someone explain why this maybe? If I was to look at the the photos on my iPad or just on the standard photo viewer on my PC everything would appear to look okay, but when I put the photos into the editing software the photos seems to look mucky.

The photos are in RAW format and I have tried to use PhotoDirector and Adobe Lightroom.

Confused about flash triggers, receivers and remote?

I'm fairly new starting out in photography and I'm confused about flash triggers, receivers and remotes. I have done lots of research but still don't get it!

Should I start with Canon or Nikon?

I'm going to be buying my first camera pretty soon here, and I need to decide if I want to buy Canon or Nikon. I think I'm more of a stills guy, which is why I'm leaning towards Nikon (because of their better sensors), but video is something I want to try and could maybe get really into, so I'd want to go with Canon (because of their better video features like dual pixel AF) if that happened. I want to figure out what brand to get now because from what I've heard switching is a difficult and expensive decision.
Added (1). Another reason I'm leaning toward Nikon is the easier "upgrade system." Nikon has clear paths you can take. For me, I plan to get a D3400, then a D7500, then a D750, then a D850 (photography is just a hobby right now, I don't need a D5). With Canon I feel lost.

Nikon D3400 Snapbridge reconnect issue?

Hi. I have a Nikon D3400 and the snapbridge iphone pairing works fine the first time I connect my camera to my phone with the snapbridge app. My issue is that lets say I connect my phone to my camera via the snapbridge app the first time and then maybe a few days or weeks later I decide to turn on bluetooth on the camera, and on my iPhone, go into the app to connect them with bluetooth, but the two can't connect. If I go into bluetooth settings on my iphone and see the camera come up and press it while bluetooth is on on the camera, it loads for a minute and says connection unsuccessful. The only fix I have found to this is to forget the camera on the Snapbridge app and on my bluetooth settings, unlink the phone from the cameras bluetooth settings and completely re-pair the devices, which takes a few minutes. My final question is, is there any fix to not needing to completely re-pair the devices, and instead just go on the snapbridge app and have the camera and app reconnect/link and work at any given time? Thanks, and sorry if this doesn't fully make sense as it is a little difficult to explain.

Is it ok to leave a professional camera in a hot car?

The reason I'm asking is because I have plans to go out with my friends next month and I wanna bring my Nikon. We're going out to lunch and getting our nails done then afterwards we'll have a photoshoot. In May it usually starts to get hot so I was wondering its ok to leave it in the car for a few hours since I don't wanna bring it into the restaurant or nail salon. (I'll hide it of course so it won't be visible from the outside). Leaving it at home and going back to get it isn't an option since we won't be in the area

Film camera went past 24 exp. On a 24 exp. Roll of film, what's happening? Won't automatically rewind?

Hi, so I recently purchased a secondhand Nikon lite touch zoom 70w film camera. I loaded a 24 exp. Roll of film into it and have been taking photos over the past few days since, but today I managed to take an extra shot - the number on the display says 25 now but I know the roll I purchased has only 24 exposures so what is up? I have the manual for the camera and it says that when the roll is finished the camera automatically rewinds itself and when the letter "E" appears on the display only then is the back safe to opened and the roll to be removed, but obviously it hasn't automatically rewinded. This is my first time using a film camera so I'm unsure of how to proceed. I really do not want to lose any of the photos on this roll because of sentimentality and all that. What should I do to save them, what is the issue?

Need help with camera aperture settings?

I seem to be unable to get my Nikon D90 DSLR to adjust aperture settings no matter what program I use. Have tried the A, M and P but no matter how I set it I end up with a full focussed frame and the camera only seems to recognise shutter speed settings. I'm trying to achieve a blurred background and have tried 3 different lenses, turning off AF and fiddling with every program on the camera! I'm guessing I'm missing something simple!

DLSR cameras under 300€? (Beginner)?

Hello everyone, as the title says I'm a beginner. I have a reflex Alpha 200 but the lack of MPs (about 10 MP) it's not helping me with my new interest ( or maybe I'm still doing something wrong).
So here it is the question: which cameras under 300€ are suitable for my needs?
I searched a little and I saw some Nikon D3200… What do you think?

How can I get auto-focus to work?

I use a Nikon D3100 and I take portraits of teens. I recently invested in a AF Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8D lens but the auto-focus doesn't work. I didn't mind practicing with the manual focus but when I take portraits with that lens, sometimes they come out a little blurry. I wanted to try and use auto-focus again and had someone suggest to me that I buy a AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm 1/1.8G lens… It came in the mail today and I like how the pictures come out, but… Still no auto-focus. I have looked up both manuals, and I seem to be missing something!

Do FX lenses that are used on FX cameras greatly increase the quality of the pictures compared to FX cameras using DX lenses?

I'm a beginner photographer who purchased a Nikon D850. It's the second dslr camera I've purchased since I upgraded from a Nikon D3200. I purchased a D850 and use a DX lens instead of an FX lens because my previous camera used that lens so I decided to give the DX lens a try on my D850. So far I've taken a couple of pictures in auto settings but when I zoom in to see the focused area of the pictures, the pictures look blurry. I'm wondering if they look blurry because of the DX lens or if it may be because some other reason. I'm planning on getting an FX lens to see if it fixes the blur issue. I hope that switching to that lens will greatly improve the quality of the pictures. Has anyone seen a huge difference in quality with full frame FX cameras when taking pictures with FX lenses compared to DX lenses?

Which DSLR camera should I buy?

I'm looking to get my first DSLR camera, I have looked at quite a few online using the JB Hi-Fi website and there seems to be so many different types but I'm not too sure which one would be right for me and what I hope to use it for. I'm an aspiring filmmaker and videographer so naturally I would need a DSLR that handles recording video rather well, I have looked at two models which would suit my price range (currently have a bit over $600, trying to save to as high as I can) I have looked at the Canon EOS 1300D which is $479 dollars (I'm in Australia if it matters) which is definitely affordable but it seems a little more for photography rather recording video there also appears to be no external mic port and getting a mic would be something I would need I'm sure to getting good audio.

The second I looked at was the Nikon D3400 which is $549, it doesn't seem too different from the previous one aside from the addition of recording video in 60fps which I don't know if I would use I'm not a huge expert on 60fps. Does anyone have any recommendations out of these two cameras, or maybe even some other cameras that would be better? Something that can record at least 1080p video at the standard fps with a port for plugging in a mic and that isn't overly expensive preferably under $1000.

Any recommendations and information would be appreciated. Also regarding lens kits, I don't know much about lenses at the moment but have been trying to learn.

Nikon D3200 vs Nikon D5100?

I'm just a beginner and I'm looking for a decent camera to use. At first I was looking at the D3200 and found some but I came across the D5100 and I thought it was a newer camera but it came out before the D3200. The D5100 has lower megapixels so the pictures won't come out as clear I think or sharp enough? I was planning on getting the D5100 but I'm not so sure because it has lower megapixels. The higher the megapixels the better the picture will come out, so should I get the D3200 or just stick with the D5100?

Nikon D3400 with no external mic jack? Idea on how to get it? Is my idea viable?

so elgado released the camlink that allows you to connect your camera to a pc to use as a webcam and also works with obs studio as a webcam so I was thinking of pluging in my windows tablet with usb 3.0(Recommended on site) to my nikon d3400 with the cam link and then mounting the tablet to the camera with multiple adapters including a hotshoe spliter(for the mic) and then pluggin in my microphone to the tablet and mounting it on the hotshoe, it is about $200 in parts and it gives me a sweet 1080p monitor, it gives me external audio, and it lets me tweek the mic imput and everything while shooting but the only down fall i see is that the camera will turn off in 30 minutes(which is still better than the 20 minute recording limit) and it also lets me shoot in 1080p at 30fps, 60fps, or 24 fps.
my camera is compatible with the requirement and so is the tablet, so i was wondering if this is an ok idea, but i was also thinking of at somepoint upgrading to a 4k camera like the panasonic g85 or the sony a6300.
Imput would be apresiated on if it will work, i think it is a god idea cause i can also use it with future cameras but it is a kinda bigger investment.

Nikkor lens problem (manual focus is stuck)?

I have a 18-55 F3.5-5.6G Ed II AF-S DX Nikkor Zoom Lens, and a few months back it fell off a table and landed right on the edge of the lens. (luckily I had a UV filter on it so it just chipped the edge of it). Recently the manual zoom is stuck. The auto-zoom works just fine but when I switch it over to the manual focus nothing happens. It is acting like it is not switching over. Can this be fixed? Or do I need to send it in for repairs? I probably won't send it in because it is not the best of lenses and I hardly use it. Probably costs the same to repair it than getting a new one.
